I served as “Lead e-Learning Developer” on a team tasked with redesigning the EdTech Certificate program for the University of Memphis. The need for the project arose as IDT faculty desired a comprehensive update to the course materials, as well as a digital badge system so that students could visually display their new skills on social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
The program consists of four completely online courses. The client wanted to teach the courses through Google Classroom instead of Desire2Learn (D2L), so that’s exactly what we used. I co-designed the updated courses and used a combination of clipart in addition to the artwork for the 12 digital badges which I designed from scratch using Adobe Illustrator.
